The Item and Recipe Management (IRM) window in OC Enterprise lets you quickly see which items or preps are currently included in preps or products. There is also a feature called "Replace Ingredient" that allows you to switch ingredients on a mass scale for any number of products.
How to Replace Ingredients using the Item and Recipe Management Window
- Click "Recipe" from the menu bar.
- Select "Item and Recipe Management".
- When the IRM opens, there will be three tabs displayed on the left-hand side with the "Items" tab currently open. Locate the ingredient you want to replace in your products and select it.
- In the column on the right-hand side of the screen, the products that include the ingredient will be displayed.
- Select the products that you want to replace the ingredient you selected and replace with a different ingredient.
If you wish to replace the ingredient you selected for all of the products displayed, select the first product in the list, hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard, and select the last product in the list to highlight all of the products.
If you wish to replace the ingredient you selected for some of the products displayed, select the first product in the list you wish to replace the item, then hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and select the other products you wish to replace the ingredient to highlight only those products. - Click on the "Replace Ingredient" button located in the upper left of the screen.
- In the "Replace Ingredient" window that opens, locate the ingredient that you want to replace the ingredient you selected form the "Items" tab and select it.
- Click the "Replace" button located in the upper left of the screen.
- In the "Confirm Replacement" window that opens, click the "Yes" button if you are certain you want to swap the ingredients.
