How do I set up Custom Fields?
You can add custom fields to your items on OC Enterprise. These custom fields will allow you to specify additional information for any item that is not made available from your supplier. Ex. You have multiple wines and want to include they year of the wine, you could add that as a custom fields to assist in identifying the correct wine.
Adding a New Custom Field
- Select "Setup" followed by "Allergens" from the main menu.
- Click "New Custom Field".
- Enter the name of the custom field.
- Enter the label of the custom field, or what you want to see on the items screen.
- Specify the field type of the custom field. The options available are text (a blank text field where you can add in whatever you want), list, single choice (a dropdown list that you can select from) or Yes/No (checkbox option).
- Click the "Save" button in the upper left-hand corner of the window.
The new custom field will be available on the items screen, as well as show as a filter on reports.
