CAUTION: If using this feature, please contact TracRite support. Adding or changing default conversions will affect all items with that conversion. It is more desirable to add a specific conversion to an item instead.
OC Enterprise allows you to create, edit, or review custom unit conversions. From here you may edit an existing conversion or create a new conversion by clicking the "New" button located near the top left-hand corner.
To Create a New Default Conversion
- Click "Setup" from the menu bar.
- Select "Default Conversions"
- Enter the conversion by filling out the fields as shown below.
Field Details From Enter the number of units you are converting from (e.g. 1000).
UOM Select the unit type you are converting from (e.g. grams, cup, quart). To Enter the number of units you are converting to (e.g. 10). UOM Select the unit type you are converting to (e.g. grams, cup, quart). - Click "Save"
SUGGESTION: When converting small units, add the larger amount to the first column. Ex. When converting a 1140 mL bottle, chose 1 "1140ml" = 1140 "mL" and not the other way around. While it will still work, the division will be down to the 1/1000th of a unit which will cause some rounding issues.
