What reports are available for sales?

The following reports are available under Sales:

Report Details
Menu Engineering

This report assists in understanding your costs and margins for each of your categories. You may filter this report with a date-range, by Region, Store, or Store Group (Consolidated) or by Store or Sales Group (Store). For each of your categories you'll see items sold, popular percentage, selling price, current cost, your margin, cost percentage, gross sales, total cost, total profit, profitability, popularity, and menu class.

There are four menu classes:

  • Star (Profitability and Popularity are high)
  • Workhorse (Profitability is low and Popularity is high)
  • Challenge (Profitability is high and Popularity is low)
  • Dog (Profitability and Popularity are low)
In the consolidated report, you can display additional information about each category by clicking the line item within the report. This second-screen of the report will break down the category so that you may see the individual items and their associated statistics. The store report does this automatically based on the store you selected before running the report. This will help you understand your margin and your cost percentages for each item.

Pending Sales This report lists the pending sales coming form your local stores. You may filter this report with a date-range, by region, store, or store group (Consolidated) or by store (Store). For each pending sale, you'll see the group or POS ID, the name of the product, the department it's found in, when the pending sale was first encountered, when the pending sales was last encountered, the total times it was sold, the average price of the pending sale, the gross sales of the pending sale, and the status of the pending sale (unlinked or mismatched).
Sales Mix - By Product This report displays your sales mix by product. You may filter this report with a Date-Range, Region, Store, Store Group, Category, Sales Group, Product or a Desired Percent (Consolidated) or Store, Category, Sales Group, Product, or a Desired Percent (Store). The consolidated report includes the average price, total amount sold, the sales total, % of sales, your cost, % of cost, and your gross margin for each category. You can display additional information about each category by clicking the line item within the report. This report helps you determine the % of sales each item represents in your sales mix. The store report includes the same information but also includes the OC Price of the product sold.
Sales Mix - By Date This report displays your sales mix broken down by date. You may filter this report with a Date-Range, by Region, Store, Store Group, or Desired Percentage (Consolidated) or a Store, Category, Sales Group, or Desired Percentage (Store). The consolidated report includes the store, total amount sold, gross sales, % of sales, your cost, % of cost, and your gross margin for the period selected. You may click on an individual date in the report page to view detailed information regarding sales mix data. The store report includes the same information, minus the store which is replaced with sales dates. You may click on an individual date in the report page to view detailed information rearding sales mix data by category and drill down into the products found in the category. This report also helps you determine the % of sales each item represents in your sales mix. 
Sales Mix - By Store This report displays your sales mix broken down by store. You may filter this report with a Date-Range, by Region, Store, Store Group, or a Desired Percentage (Consolidated) or Store, Category, Sales Group, or Desired Percentage (Store). The report includes the store, the total amount sold, the gross sales, % of sales, your cost, % of cost, and your gross margin for the period selected. You may click on an individual store in the report page to view detailed information regarding sales mix data. The store report includes the same information minus the store which is replaced with sales dates. You may click on an individual date in the report page to view detailed information regarding sales mix data by category and drill down into the products found in the category. This report also helps you determine the % of sales each item represents in your sales mix.
